On May 6th, buses with 5 cameras installed in three cars in Taiyuan were put into trial operation. In the morning on the 17th bus, passengers found many cameras on their heads. The passengers noticed that there was a camera on the front of the ceiling of the carriage and the angle of observation was backwards; there was a camera on the tail of the carriage and the observation eye was on the front half of the carriage. At the windshield of the front window, there is also a camera through which the front of the vehicle can be seen; and the head of the driver is also equipped with a camera, the camera directly facing the front door and the driver's seat. In addition to the camera above the original rear door, there are 5 cameras in the entire train. A male passenger said: "There are so many cameras that can monitor the entire carriage and later meet the thief in the car, or the lesbians run into hooligans, and they are not afraid that they will not deny it."

According to the relevant person in charge of the Taiyuan Public Transport Department, the installation of the camera in the bus cabin in Taiyuan is still in the experimental stage. The camera above the rear door originally existed, mainly used to observe the situation of the rear door, in addition to preventing passengers from picking up from the rear door, but also allows the driver to determine the passenger's get off. The newly installed four cameras have different roles. The camera at the front windshield mainly observes the front road conditions and platform dynamics; the camera in the cab can record the driver’s driving situation and the passengers' boarding and coinage links; the two cameras in the cabin, the front camera observes the rear part of the cabin, The rear camera observes the front of the compartment and the vision is crossed to avoid blind spots. The video data of the newly installed 4 cameras will be stored on the hard disk of the carriage, just like the “black box” on the aircraft, and will be transmitted to the monitoring platform in real time through wireless transmission so that the platform staff can keep track of the running status of the buses.

In addition, the installation of cameras at the Taiyuan bus head can also provide convenience for the traffic police department to collect evidence, and punish various vehicles for trespassing on bus lanes. The camera inside the carriage can reflect the order of cars and the density of passengers, provide first-hand operational data, make bus scheduling more efficient, and effectively supervise the public order, prevent uncivilized and unlawful acts, and provide safety protection for passengers. At present, the public transport department conducts tests on three different types of buses and adopts pilot data to make timely adjustments and finally promote it.
